If you thought sexy lingerie was only for women, think again.
An Australian online retailer called HommeMystere makes and sells lightweight lingerie to fit the male body. This includes G-strings, bras, satin matching bra and panty combos, C-strings (penis covers) and even underwear with garter belts attached to it.
(Cue Bob Rivers’ “Walking Around in Women’s Underwear.”) But in all seriousness…
Men of all sexual orientation are the target for brand that launched in 2008. The recent media attention is a result of a revamped online store that had to be developed due to the high demand for the lingerie, says a press release.
Men’s lingerie sits in an undefined territory deemed ‘not exciting enough’ for adult stores and ‘too confronting’ for mainstream retail stores,” says the release. As a result Australian couple Brent and Lara Krause created HommeMystere to move away from the standard cotton “jocks” and provide men with more options for underwear in the form of an exclusive, quality product.
The lingerie items have fun female names such as Genevieve, Candy, Elise, Dorothy and Lucy. (Although we’re a bit confused as to why this is.) This is also the reason we’re still not entirely convinced that this is not a hoax. Although this Youtube video that shows the company at a lingerie convention in Las Vegas in 2013 and makes it look legit.
Still, if this site is just an elaborate hoax with a message, we’re paying attention.
